Blitz Box
Tiny tasks, both at once. First done scores. First to 5.
Blitz Box is a two-player party game of rapid 3-second mini tasks, such as popping bubbles or stopping a needle. Both players get the same task at once, the first to finish it scores, and the first to 5 wins.
A party of 3-second games: pop the bubbles, count the stars, find the odd ring, trace the path, match the colour, stop the needle, mash the drum. You both get the same task at the same moment, and the clock gets shorter every round.
Also known as Microgames, WarioWare-style party game.

Blitz Box rules
Setup
- Each player has a task board in their own half. Both boards always show the same task, turned to face each player.
- One 3, 2, 1 opens the match. After that, each task is announced by a quick card with its picture and name.
- Tasks come in a shuffled order, and the same task never comes twice in a row.
The seven tasks
- Pop it!: pop all five bubbles, one tap each.
- Count it!: count the yellow stars among the decoys and tap the right number.
- Odd one!: tap the one ring whose gap points a different way. Later in the match the grid grows and the difference gets smaller.
- Trace it!: drag from the start along the zig-zag path to the star without lifting. Lift and you go back to the start.
- Match it!: tap the tile in the target's colour. The tile with the target's shape is the trap.
- Stop it!: tap to stop a sweeping needle inside the yellow zone. This one is about accuracy: the stop closest to the zone's centre wins.
- Mash it!: tap the drum 10 times.
Scoring
- The first player to finish the task scores 1 point.
- In Count it!, Odd one! and Match it! you get one answer. A wrong tap locks you out of that task, but your rival can still win it.
- With Golden task on, every 4th task is worth 2 points.
Ties and void tasks
- A task scores for nobody if both players finish at almost exactly the same instant ("Dead heat"), both lock out, both miss the zone in Stop it!, or nobody finishes in time ("Too slow!").
- If three tasks in a row end with no scorer, the third is settled by a coin toss.
- Pausing mid-task throws that task away and a fresh one follows, with the score unchanged.
The clock and winning
- Each task has about 3 seconds. With Speeds up (the default), the clock gets a little shorter every task.
- First to the target wins: 3, 5 or 7 points. A golden task can take a score past the target. A match never ends drawn.
Task packs
- All 7
- Every task in the mix. The default.
- Quick hands
- Pop it, Trace it, Stop it and Mash it only.
- Sharp eyes
- Count it, Odd one and Match it only.
Tips to win at Blitz Box
- 1Read the task card as it appears. Knowing the task before the clock starts is half the race.
- 2In Count it!, Odd one! and Match it! you only get one answer, so take a split second to be sure. A wrong tap locks you out.
- 3In Match it!, look for the colour, not the shape. The tile with the target's shape is the trap.
- 4In Stop it!, aim for the centre of the yellow zone rather than stopping as early as you can; the closest stop wins.
- 5Use two fingers on Pop it! and Mash it! to finish faster.
Controls
Phone flat between you. Each player owns a half, and the far half faces the far player.
- Everything happens on your own board: tap bubbles, buttons, tiles, the dial or the drum, or drag along the trace path.
- You can use more than one finger in your half, for example to pop two bubbles at once.
- Taps during the task card or after the task ends are ignored.
- The task name and clock bar sit at the top of your half and don't take taps.

Every option is free. Defaults are marked.

Play Blitz Box against the bot
The bot plays Blue's half and works only from the task on screen, the same as you, never from your taps. A see-through dot shows where its finger is.
Easy
Slow to start and to think, and often taps a wrong answer.
Normal
Steady on every task, with the odd wrong tap or slip on the trace.
Hard
Quick and accurate on every task, though it can still tap a wrong answer now and then.
Online, tournaments and hints
- Online
- One phone onlyBoth players race the same 3-second task at the same moment, so Blitz Box stays on one phone.
- Tournament
- Can be drawn in a tournamentIn a tournament it uses the default options: first to 5, Speeds up, All 7 tasks and Streak flames on.
- Hints
- No hints here: it's all about your own reactions.
How it feels
- Three rising ticks on each task card, then pops, dings, clunks and drum thumps depending on the task.
- The winner's half tints in their colour with a "+1" and "Got it!".
- A buzz, a cross and a shake when you tap a wrong answer.
- Haptics follow your phone's settings and the in-app vibration switch.
Accessibility
- Task colours are never the players' red or blue, and each carries a pattern (dots, stripes, checks or hatch), so Match it! can be solved by pattern.
- Every task needs only one finger.
- Steady speed and the Quick hands or Sharp eyes packs let players skip the tasks they find hardest.
- With reduced motion on, shakes and flicker are dropped and stamps fade in.

Yes. Lay the phone flat between you; each player does the task on the board in their own half at the same time.
Yes, against a bot on Easy, Normal or Hard. It only sees the task on screen, never your taps.
Be quick on the tapping tasks but careful on the one-answer tasks, where a wrong tap locks you out. In Stop it!, accuracy beats speed.
