Outfit Memory
Match pairs of clothes. One of each set dresses a full outfit. Most points in a deal.
Outfit Memory is a two-player memory game in which you flip two cards at a time to match pairs of clothes. A pair keeps your turn, a pair from tops, bottoms and accessories makes a full outfit worth a bonus, and the most points wins.
Flip two cards to find matching clothes: two sneakers, two caps, two coats. Every pair flies into your wardrobe, and one pair from each set, tops, bottoms and accessories, dresses a full outfit worth 2 more.

Outfit Memory rules
Setup
- The deck has two of every garment in play, from three sets: Tops (shirt, coat, dress, jumper, vest top), Bottoms (trousers, skirt, shorts, sneaker, boot) and Accessories (cap, top hat, bag, sunglasses, scarf).
- 24 cards is 4 garments from each set, 12 pairs. 16 cards uses 3 tops, 3 bottoms and 2 accessories; 30 cards uses all 5 of each.
- Cards are shuffled fresh every deal and every back is identical. Each face shows a small set symbol in two opposite corners, so both players can read it.
- The first player of a new match is picked at random; the loser of a deal starts the next, and a rematch starts with the player who lost.
A turn
- Flip one face-down card, then a second.
- Same garment: the pair is yours, worth 1 point. It flies into your wardrobe and you go again.
- Not a pair: both cards stay face up for a second so both players can see them, then flip back and the turn passes.
Scoring and winning
- Each pair scores 1 point.
- Outfit bonus (on by default): the first time you own at least one pair from each of the three sets, you score +2. It can't be taken away.
- The deal ends when the last pair is found, or earlier as soon as the leader can no longer be caught. More points wins.
- In best of 3, the first to win 2 deals takes the match.
Ties
- A tied deal goes to sudden death: a fresh row of 8 cards is dealt and the player who didn't take the last turn flips first.
- Misses pass the turn as usual, and the first pair found wins the deal. A match never ends drawn.
- There are no hints in Outfit Memory: remembering the cards is the whole game.
Extras
- Outfit bonus
- On by default. One pair from every set dresses a full outfit worth +2, once per deal.
- Quick look
- Off by default. At the start of each deal every card shows face up for a couple of seconds, the same for both players.
- Gold tag
- Off by default. One garment per deal has a gold front and its pair is worth 3. You only find it by flipping.
- Hot streak
- Off by default. Every third pair in one turn scores +1 more.
Tips to win at Outfit Memory
- 1Watch your rival's misses closely: every card they turn up is one you can use on your next turn.
- 2Use the set symbol in each card's corner to sort what you've seen into tops, bottoms and accessories.
- 3Go for the outfit bonus early. Once you own a pair from all three sets, the +2 can't be taken away.
- 4With Quick look on, try to fix three or four pairs in your head rather than the whole board.
- 5Flip an unknown card first, so your second flip can match it from memory.
Controls
Phone flat between you. Each player owns a half, and the far half faces the far player.
- One tap per card. Tapping a card that is already face up does nothing.
- The whole board is shared; on your turn either player's finger flips for you, so let the mover tap.
- Every touch is ignored while cards flip, fly or are shown after a miss.

Play Outfit Memory against the bot
The bot plays Blue and only learns from cards it has seen face up: its own flips, yours and the Quick look. It never peeks at a face-down card. If it remembers both cards of a pair it takes them; otherwise it tries a card it hasn't seen.
Easy
Forgets most of the cards it sees.
Normal
Remembers more than half of what it sees.
Hard
Remembers nearly everything, and with the Outfit bonus on it takes the pairs that complete its outfit first.
Online, tournaments and hints
- Online
- PlannedOutfit Memory is turn-based and online play for it is planned, but not available yet. Today you play a friend on one phone or the bot.
- Tournament
- Can be drawn in a tournamentIn a tournament it is a single deal of 24 cards with the Outfit bonus on and the other extras off.
- Hints
- No hints here: a hint would just be a peek at the cards.
Coming soon
- Online play. Play Outfit Memory against a friend on another phone, with a turn clock. The deck would stay on the server, so no phone knows a face-down card.
How it feels
- A card snap on every flip, higher on the second card.
- A rising pop as a pair lifts, bursts a ring and flies into your wardrobe.
- A chime and a "+2" stamp when your outfit is complete.
- A fanfare after a short hold on the pair that decides the deal.
Accessibility
- Garments are told apart by their shape, never by colour alone, and the three set symbols are different shapes.
- Face-up cards, found pairs and your wardrobe are read out by a screen reader.
- With reduced motion on, pairs fade into the wardrobe instead of flying.
- Every move is a single tap, so one-handed play works.
